In this episode I share a hack, a secret that I’ve discovered for myself. Instead of making big grand change, try to make a daily small one. Just a 1% change daily can compound to nearly 4,000% difference in a year. That is the power of small daily changes. I’ve seen it in my life and in this episode I share some of the ways this has compounded and snowballed in my life.

Key Ideas
Small changes matter more than big, unsustainable ones
1% daily improvements compound in money, health, and habits
You need to shift from “already frugal” to intentionally frugal
You can make 1% improvements in many areas such as food spending, utilities and energy use, transportation costs, and insurance and retirement contributions
Apply the 1% rule month-by-month to avoid burnout
Bonus Tip
Here is a bonus tip I didn't get to in the episode.
Another great thing that goes with this is called habit stacking. Instead of doing one change and then moving on to the next, you can instead compound the changes by making a single 1% change in the first month, then adding another the second month, etc. By adding a new habit to an already existing habit you are more likely to continue the new one. It is a powerful strategy!
