The whole aim of this show, which is about money, is to live a better life. Money is worthless by itself if not used to live a better life. So how do we know what we’re really aiming at? Jordan Grumet, a hospice doctor and finance content creator walks us through what he’s learned from those at the end of life that can help us live a life without regret.

Key Ideas
A rich life is defined by purpose—not money
Lack of courage, not lack of money, is the biggest barrier to fulfillment
Do a “regret audit” to identify what truly matters to you
Burnout is really a misalignment between identity and purpose
You can’t “achieve your way” into feeling like you’re enough
Money should be used as a tool to create time and freedom
You have three practical levers to redesign your life:
– Joy of Addition
– Art of Subtraction
– Substitution
Bonus Tip
Here is a bonus tip I didn't get to in the episode.
I think there is something else to the equation, do less of what you loath and more of what you love to be happy. I think being content is really important. What do I mean by that? If you’re doing something you loath, ask why you loath it. What internal desire makes this an unpleasant experience? Sometimes just realizing that you have no good reason to hate something and deciding to enjoy it instead can make a huge difference. Some people love running, I personally don’t, which means that there is a preference there. I could learn to be content with running instead of doing less of it. Something to think about to change your happiness without necessarily changing your circumstances.
